Fuzzology 1 - Knee Bender MKIIs

Unique sister pedals based of the Sola Sound Tone Bender MKII circuit - true sound of the 70s in Silicon and Germanium form.

The Slightly Technical ToneX captures are tone models of gear from my personal collection. These amplifiers and pedals are not commercially available and are either original designs, designs inspired by famous units, or uniquely modified pieces of equipment. Each piece of gear was crafted with carefully selected components, meticulously measured, and calibrated to achieve the desired tonal qualities.

This is a collection of Tone Models of my custom made Knee Bender sisters – one being a modded clone of a Germanium version of the MKII Sola Sound Tone Bender, where the other is a Silicon version of the circuit. The two pedals are completely different, as are the captures. The Germanium one is actually quite a bit gainier and noisier then the Silicon one (which is not usually the case) and it has a completely different tonal quality.

Generally, no modelling device has yet been able to reproduce great fuzz tones, in all honesty, but the Tone Models taken are quite similar to the original units. A special circuit has been designed for re-amping fuzz pedals, as the process is quite a bit more difficult then re-amping other pedals or amps. It is just the crude nature of vintage fuzz pedals. The captures created a really useful sound that can be used in many different scenarios

This collection includes 6 Tone Models – 3 models of each pedal at various gain settings. These are simple pedals with no tone controls – only Gain and Volume. The 3 selected settings for each pedal are different for each pedal and they present sweet spots and present a great starting point which you can fine tune with the built-in ToneX controls.
